Top 5 Travel and Local Apps in Spain Q1 2022

Throughout the first quarter of 2022, the top travel and local apps in Spain exhibited diverse trends in terms of downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 30.7K in late December and peaking at approximately 43.2K by the end of March. Concurrently, the app maintained a strong presence in terms of weekly active users, growing from 1.24M at the start of January to an impressive 1.76M by the end of the quarter.

Airbnb experienced a steady rise in weekly downloads, beginning at 19.2K and reaching up to 29.9K by mid-February. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, increasing from about 326K at the end of December to nearly 430K by the end of March.

eDreams: Flights, Hotels, Cars had fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at 17.6K and peaking at 26K in early January before stabilizing around 18.9K towards the end of March. The app's weekly active users followed a similar pattern, beginning at 156.8K and ending the quarter with approximately 171.5K.

FREENOW - Taxi and more showed a mixed performance in weekly downloads, with an initial spike to 20.6K followed by a drop and a subsequent recovery to 20.5K in mid-March. Weekly active users increased steadily from 27.3K to around 31.5K over the quarter.

GetYourGuide: Travel & Tickets had a varied performance in weekly downloads, starting at 8.8K and peaking at 25.1K in early January, then declining to approximately 3.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, beginning at around 15.4K and ending the quarter at about 13.1K.
